No. IA IB 21-05 Date: June 11, 2021 Page 1 of 1 Subject: Medford and Klamath Falls, Oregon Airport Construction – June 2021 Area of concern: Southern Oregon Air Tanker Base Operations Distribution: Aviation Operations Discussion: On June 1, 2021, the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport (MFR) began construction on the ramp apron at the Medford Airtanker Base (MATB). The construction project requires asphalt to be completely removed and then replaced. This will affect the main base loading ramp and light fixed-wing parking in front of the base hanger during the month of June.

The Medford Very Large Airtanker (VLAT) Base on the east airport ramp will be open and operational by June 21st .

The VLAT base will cover retardant services when both the Medford main base and the Klamath Falls Airtanker Base (KATB) a r e impacted by ongoing construction projects.

Operations at (KATB are anticipated to be impacted during the following dates: • May 17 - June 25, Taxiway D closed (Taxiway A to Taxiway C North EOR open).

• June 18 - June 25, Klamath ATB closed.

• June 21st-25th - Runway 14/32 closure.

Please check NOTAMs as schedule could change with construction possibly extending into the week of June 27th.
