Boise : Due to construction on the valve for the stormwater drain and washdown water, the Boise airtanker base currently has only two of the three pits operational. At this point the construction is scheduled to be completed by June 17, 2022 .

For questions regarding the Boise airtanker base capability, please contact Les Dixon, airtanker base manager, at 208-861-9590. Les will notify the National Airtanker Program Manager if there are any significant delays.

Pocatello : Pocatello is in the process of enlarging its two existing pits and adding a third, as well as other upgrades.

The Pocatello airtanker base hopes to be operational, although in a minimized capacity, by July 1, 2022 . The Pocatello airtanker base is unable to operate airtankers until further notice.

McCall: McCall Municipal Airport-KMYL is scheduled for a full closure July 11-14, 2022 for Runway 16/34 resurfacing and paint. The USFS Airbase West Ramp will be closed for operations June 27 – July 1, 2022 for asphalt sealing and paint application. This closure includes all airtanker, smoke jumper and, helibase ramp th surfaces. All aircraft must be relocated by close of business on June 26 .
