Slow Flight

Vmc Demonstration
Conducted at 6,000 feet MSL, this demonstration involves closing the throttle on the left engine while maintaining full power on the right engine. The aircraft should be pitched for 100 knots with a bank of 30 degrees or less, increasing pitch slowly to Vmc.
Emergency Descent
In an emergency descent, pilots should ensure the boost pumps are off and cowl flaps are closed. The power should be set to idle, and the aircraft should be pitched down at 140 knots. Recovery should begin before reaching 4,000 feet MSL.
Short Field Takeoff
For short field takeoff, set flaps to 100, hold brakes, and check gauges at 2,000 RPM. Full power is applied, and the aircraft should rotate at 80 knots, achieving Vx of 84 knots to 50 feet.
