Overview

This document is a Schedule of Airworthiness Directives specifically for the Beechcraft 60 Duke series aeroplanes. It addresses the cancellation of a previous directive regarding the wing front spar. The directive was originally intended to ensure the safety and airworthiness of the aircraft by mandating inspections of the wing spar caps. However, it has been determined that the requirements are now covered under a service bulletin, which has reduced the applicability to certain models. This document serves as an official notice to pilots and maintenance personnel regarding the updated requirements and the cancellation of the previous airworthiness directive.

  • The airworthiness directive AD/BEECH 60/18 has been cancelled.
  • Corrosion inspection of the wing spar caps is part of the maintenance program.
  • Service Bulletin 2538 Rev I supersedes the previous service instruction.

Background

The background section explains that Beechcraft Service Instruction 0514-035 Rev II has been superseded by Service Bulletin 2538 Rev I. This new bulletin includes a corrosion inspection of the upper and lower wing spar caps, which is already part of the aircraft's maintenance program.
