For example: • McCauley STC kit PL-60340 contains propeller part number P5045186-10. This propeller is not equipped with icing protection. • McCauley STC kit PL-60342 contains propeller part number P5045186-1052. This propeller is equipped with icing protection. * All McCauley STC kits start with “PL” and are approved on the aircraft via FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STC). The McCauley STC “PL” kits come with necessary STC paperwork and technical documents. McCauley STC kits are marketed as BLACKMAC conversions. BLACKMAC propellers have black blades with red and white tip stripes. ** McCauley TC kits contain the parts that are specified and approved via the FAA aircraft Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) and Illustrated Parts List (IPL/IPC). These TC kits are not approved via an STC and therefore do not come with any STC documentation. These parts are to be installed in accordance with aircraft OEM published data.
