LED style navigation anti-collision light assemblies are available as replacement. DESCRIPTION This service document provides parts and instructions necessary to replace the incandescent navigation and anti-collision light assemblies with LED light assemblies. COMPLIANCE OPTIONAL. This service bulletin can be accomplished at the discretion of the owner. A service document published by Textron Aviation may be recorded as completed in an aircraft log only when the following requirements are satisfied: 1) The mechanic must complete all of the instructions in the service document, including the intent therein. 2) The mechanic must correctly use and install all applicable parts supplied with the service document kit. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Prepare the airplane for maintenance. A. Make sure that the airplane is electrically grounded. B. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position. C. Attach maintenance warning tags to the battery and external power receptacle that have "DO NOT CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" written on them. 2. Remove the stinger. (Refer to the Model 208/208B Maintenance Manual, Chapter 53, Tail Stinger - Maintenance Practices.) 3. Remove and discard the stinger navigation light assembly. (Refer to the Model 208/208B Maintenance Manual, Chapter 33, Incandescent Navigation Lights - Maintenance Practices.) A. Bag and stow the stinger navigation light electrical connector (PT001 or J105). NOTE: The stinger navigation light position will not be used. The wing tip navigation and anti-collision light assemblies have an aft facing navigation light. 4. Install 2612115-3 Cover Plate with two S1021Z6-6 Screws and S3231-5 Nuts. 5. Install the stinger. (Refer to the Model 208/208B Maintenance Manual, Chapter 53, Tail Stinger - Maintenance Practices.) 6. Remove and discard the left and right navigation, anti-collision light assemblies. (Refer to the Model 208/208B Maintenance Manual, Chapter 33, Incandescent Navigation Lights - Maintenance Practices, and Incandescent Navigation and Anti-Collision Strobe Lights - Maintenance Practices.) 7. Group A Airplanes: (Refer to Figure 1, Sheet 1, and Sheet 2.) Complete the wing tip wiring modification as follows: A. (Refer to Figure 1, Sheet 1.) Depin the wires from the S1638-2 Connectors and discard connectors P110 (Right) and P111 (Left). B. Connect the wires that were depined to the new connectors supplied with the new NAV/Anti-Collision light assemblies. C. Install one S4111-2A Namplate marked PL012 on the wire assembly for the left Nav/Anti-Collision light assembly with two MS3367-1-9 Tie Straps.

Install a TC4001 Cap on the end of the two disconnected shield grounds. D. Connect the wires that were depinned to the new connectors supplied with the new NAV/Anti-Collision light assemblies. E. Install one S4111-2A Namplate marked PL012 on the wire assembly for the left Nav/Anti-Collision light assembly with two MS3367-1-9 Tie Straps. F. Install one S4111-2A Namplate marked PR012 on the wire assembly for the right Nav/Anti-Collision light assembly with two MS3367-1-9 Tie Straps. G. Go to Step 10. 10. Group B and C Airplanes:(Refer to Figure 2 and Figure 3, Sheets 1 and Sheets 2.) Disconnect the stinger navigation light electrical wiring as follows: A. Remove the left front side panel located forward of the pilot-side circuit breaker panel. B. (Refer to Figure 2 and Figure 3, Sheets 1.) Locate and remove the D436-37 Splice and wire identified as 1PT001 from connector PC001 Pin 11 (wire 11PC001-10JI004). NOTE: Wire 1PT001 is the power wire for the tail navigation light. Wire 11PC001-10JI004 will be spliced together without wire 1PT001. C. (Refer to Figure 2 and Figure 3, Sheets 2.) Install a TC4001 Cap on the end of 1PT001 Wire. D. (Refer to Figure 2 and Figure 3, Sheets 2.) Connect 10JI004 to 11PC001 Wires with one D436-37 Splice. E. Install the left front side panel located forward of the pilot-side circuit breaker panel. F. Go to Step 11. 11. Do a modification of the 2628005 Spacers as follows: A. Make a 3/32 Inch deep flat countersink with a 11/32 Inch Spot Face, at each screw hole location, on the concave side of the 2628005-3 and 2628005-4 Spacers. NOTE: The flat countersink will provide clearance of fasteners and allow the spacer to lay flat against the wing tip. The concave side of the spacer will face inboard toward the wing tip. B. Use a clean cloth wet with isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface. C. Let the parts dry. D. Apply Color Chemical Film Treatment to the bare aluminum surface. 12. Remove and clean the wing tip surfaces of any residual gasket, sealant, dirt, or grime. 13. Install the left and right NAV/Anti-Collision light assemblies. (Refer to Model 208/208B Maintenance Manual, Chapter 33, LED NAV/Anti Collision Lights - Removal/Installation.) NOTE: The 01-0790613-92 is for the left wing and the 01-0790613-91 is for the right wing. NOTE: When installing the spacer, the concave side with the countersink will go inboard toward the wing tip. A. Remove the maintenance warning tags and connect the airplane battery. B. Do an operational test of the NAV/Anti-Collision light assemblies. (Refer to Model 208/208B Maintenance Manual, Chapter 33, LED Exterior Lighting - Adjustmetn/Test, NAV/Anti-Collision Light Operational Test.) Caravan SERVICE BULLETIN CAB-33-02 14. Make an entry in the airplane logbook that states compliance and method of compliance with this service document. NOTE: Textron Aviation recommends that compliance with all service documents is reported to a maintenance tracking system provider. • Complete a record of compliance. (Maintenance Transaction Report, Log Book Entry, or other record of compliance.) • Put a copy of the completed record of compliance in the airplane logbook. • Send a copy of the completed record of compliance to the maintenance tracking system provider used.
