Propeller Details
The document details two types of propellers available for the King Air 200 series: the Composite 5-Blade Swept Propellers and the Aluminum 4-Blade Swept Propellers. The Composite propellers have a 96-inch diameter, are made of carbon fiber, and offer a 30% noise reduction and a 16.5% performance gain in runway acceleration compared to OEM propellers. The Aluminum propellers also have a 96-inch diameter and provide improved thrust with less noise, enhancing landing deceleration.
Takeoff Performance
The takeoff performance data for the King Air 260 at a weight of 12,500 lbs at sea level under ISA conditions shows a distance over a 50 ft obstacle of 2,210 ft, which is a significant improvement over the factory specifications. The accelerate-stop distance is 3,250 ft, and the accelerate-go distance is 3,450 ft, showcasing the aircraft's enhanced capabilities.
Climb Performance
For the King Air 260, the two-engine rate of climb is recorded at 2,510 ft/min, which is an improvement of 90 ft/min over the factory model. The time to climb to 28,000 ft is 17 minutes, and to 33,000 ft is 25 minutes, indicating a quicker ascent compared to previous models.
Cruise Performance
At 28,000 ft, the maximum cruise speed for the King Air 260 is 283 knots true airspeed (KTAS), which is a 12-knot increase over the factory model. This performance metric is crucial for flight planning and operational efficiency.
Landing Performance
The landing performance metrics indicate an approach speed (VREF) of 90 knots and a landing distance over a 50 ft obstacle of 1,810 ft without prop reverse, demonstrating a significant reduction in required runway length for landing.
