Situation HG has had reports of cracks on swashplate G41-00-000, likely to be related to ageing and corrosion: The present Service Bulletin prescribes the inspection of the swashplate arms for cracks. EASA.21J.211 2 / 3 Cabri G2 SERVICE BULLETIN Deadline and recurrence Aircraft fitted with swashplate S/N 801 to S/N 1077 First inspection: Within the next 30 flight hours or 4 months, whichever occurs first, from the effective date of the AD (March 21st, 2024). Recurrent inspection: At intervals not exceeding 60 flight hours or 14 months, whichever occurs first. Aircraft fitted with swashplate S/N 1078 and following First inspection: Within the next 60 flight hours or 6 months, whichever occurs first, from the effective date of the AD (March 21st, 2024). Recurrent inspection: At intervals not exceeding 60 flight hours or 14 months, whichever occurs first. Note: Regardless of the swashplate TSN, if issue A or B of this Service Bulletin was previously complied with, the first inspection is not required and only the recurrent inspections must be complied with. EASA.21J.211 3 / 3 Cabri G2 SERVICE BULLETIN Required Actions a) Use a flashlight and inspect the six arms from both the rotating and non-rotating swashplates for cracks: p Caution: Pay attention to each face of each clevis arm. b) In case of doubt and/or paint damage, particularly paint peeling off, remove the paint using P600-GRIT abrasive for further crack inspection. c) If a crack is found, replace the swashplate with a serviceable one before further flight and contact HG support. d) If no crack is found, paint touch up the areas where paint has been removed: • degrease the area using MEK, • apply Alodine, • apply anti-corrosion chromate primer: HG31-0031 primer mixed with HG31-1471 hardener, see SB 18-030 for mixing ratio, • apply paint: HG31-0033 paint mixed with HG31-1304 hardener and HG31-2704 thinner, see SB 18-030 for mixing ratio. Swashplate must NOT be released to service until paint touch up has been completed on every area where paint has been removed.
