NOTE: The installation of the emergency exit warning placard may also be completed by a pilot with respect to local civil aviation regulations. NOTE: Pilots should be aware of the potential for impeding of the aft cargo door with the flaps extended. DESCRIPTION This service document provides part and instructions to install the emergency exit warning placard that warns that flap positions 10 degrees or greater may impede evacuation from the cargo door. COMPLIANCE MANDATORY. This service document must be accomplished at the next 100-hour/Annual inspection or within 12 calendar months of publish, whichever occurs first. A service document published by Textron Aviation may be recorded as completed in an aircraft log only when the following requirements are satisfied: 1) The mechanic must complete all of the instructions in the service document, including the intent therein. 2) The mechanic must correctly use and install all applicable parts supplied with the service document kit. Only with written authorization from Textron Aviation can substitute parts or rebuilt parts be used to replace new parts. 3) The mechanic or airplane owner must use the technical data in the service document only as approved and published. 4) The mechanic or airplane owner must apply the information in the service document only to aircraft serial numbers identified in the Effectivity section of the document. (Refer to Figure 1, Sheet 1.) Install the S4645-16 Emergency Exit Warning Placard as follows: NOTE: The installation of the placard should be in a location that the pilot has a clear view of the placard throughout all phases of flight. NOTE: S4645-16 Emergency Exit Warning Placard silkscreen legend to be black on white background. A. Use the placard or the dimensions of the S4645-16 Emergency Exit Warning Placard as shown within the figure to measure and identify a suitable location on the instrument panel or another location directly visible while sitting in the pilot's seat." B. Clean the placard installation area using Isopropyl Alcohol and lint free cloth. C. Remove the protective backing and carefully set the placard in place, starting at one end and securing contact progressively toward the other end avoiding wrinkling and air bubbles. D. If necessary, use a rubber roller or plastic spatula to press the placard firmly in place. 2.
